Integrations
Integrations
Use 8rney inside Slack, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, Word, and other work tools
8rney connects to the tools your team already uses. Integrations do more than send a prompt to an assistant. They create Agent Tasks, preserve context, enforce approvals, and sync outputs back to the workspace.
See Slack, Teams, and email for the ambient-agent channel model.
Supported integrations#
Slack
Mention 8rney in a channel or DM, hand off thread work, approve sensitive actions, and receive rich results in the same conversation.
Microsoft Teams
Use 8rney in chats, channels, and Teams app conversations with adaptive cards, approvals, and workspace-linked artifacts.
Outlook
Summarise email chains, draft replies, flag risks, create follow-up work, and send only when task policy allows it.
Gmail
Use the Gmail sidebar to turn an email thread into a summary, draft, risk review, or delegated background task.
Google Drive
Connect Drive for permitted file search, matter context, ingestion, document review, and agent grounding.
Microsoft Word
Research, draft, and redline inside Word while retaining workspace and matter context.
Native channel model#
Slack, Teams, Gmail, and Outlook are entry points into the same background-agent system.
A message or email starts the task
A mention, direct message, command, email sidebar action, or attachment creates an Agent Task.
8rney records the source context
The channel, thread, message, file, sender, workspace, and matter context are attached to the task audit trail.
The worker executes through the broker
The central worker uses the tool broker for permissions, autonomy, approvals, identity, sandboxing, and audit logging.
Results return to the right place
Status updates, approval cards, artifacts, tables, charts, diagrams, and summaries can appear in the source channel and the workspace.
Slack#
Set up Slack from Workspace -> Integrations -> Slack.
Common Slack workflows:
| Workflow | Result |
|---|---|
| Mention 8rney in a thread | Agent Task with the thread as context |
| Use a slash command | Mention-free task creation |
| Share a file | Analysis artifact, table, summary, or draft |
| Approve an action | Paused task resumes from the approval card |
| Ask for a visual | Chart, diagram, table, status card, or links card |
Example:
@8rney summarise this thread, identify the legal risks, and propose follow-up tasks
Microsoft Teams#
Set up Teams from Workspace -> Integrations -> Microsoft Teams.
Common Teams workflows:
| Workflow | Result |
|---|---|
| Mention 8rney in a matter channel | Matter-linked task and status response |
| Send a direct message | Private delegated task |
| Attach a document | Review or extraction artifact |
| Approve a sensitive action | Task resumes after the Teams approval response |
| Request a report | Adaptive card, artifact, or internal notification |
Example:
@8rney prepare a client-ready summary of the attached order
Email integrations#
Outlook and Gmail focus on correspondence workflows:
- Summarise long email chains
- Draft replies
- Extract dates and commitments
- Flag legal risk
- Create matter tasks from emails
- Save draft email artifacts
- Send only when the approval ceiling allows it
Administration#
All integrations are managed from Workspace -> Integrations. Each integration shows its connection status, connected account, granted permissions, and workspace availability.
Enterprise workspaces can restrict integrations by role, workspace, matter, policy, or connected account.
Disconnecting an integration removes 8rney's future access. It does not delete task records, artifacts, approvals, or audit history already saved in the workspace.
